Wes has been piercing bodies for Nine years at Berkeley Zebra. Prior to that he was learning his art in Southern California for two years. He is now one of the best in the Bay Area. Wes is well respected at Zebra and is the assistant manager of the Walnut Creek Studio.

As a piercer, his bedside manner is strong and sensitive. He creates a calming space of comfort that dissipates any feelings of the client's nervousness because he has no squeamishness inside!

He remembers a day that he performed eighty-six piercings in one day, of a completely diverse clientele.

He thinks back to those eighty-six people and realized that there were eighty-six reasons why they wanted their piercings. The ones that stood out were:

• Clients who wanted to change their identities
• Clients who wanted "hidden piercings"
• Some wanted a spiritual experience of being pierced
• Some clients feel they get a new slate for their psyche
• All clients feel somehow renewed, like they are a brand new person

No matter what the desire of the client, Wes has an inate ability to visualize how the jewelry can be best situated on the body and the technical ability to make it work beautifully.

His off-time he hangs with friends, rock climbs, skate boards, watches "A's" games, or games online. But two days per week Wes goes into solitude to renew himself.
