A KELIOD is and overgrowth of scar tissue that may appear after piercing. (Buts, scratches, etc.) KELIOD growth is more prominent in people with dark skin tones. KELIODS are not medically dangerous and often require no medical treatment. KELOIDS may be reduced in size by external pressure or surgical removal, however they may grow back.
